Acknowledging Gods faithfulness in the present, the past, the future and the unseen. A prayer to declare trust and gratitude despite the circumstances we find ourselves in. Declaring that we will continue to praise even as we walk through trials and uncertainty, our loyalty to God will not change! 🙌

Today’s challenge attempt is raw, real and honest. Things don’t always go to plan and sometimes hanging out with Jesus looks like making time when you have “run out” of time. Even when it feels like another thing to do, I have never regretted making time for Jesus only ever regretted not making time for him. Every intentional time no matter how short, is worth it! Don’t underestimate the power and beauty that comes from being in the Lords presence.

Todays challenge was: Take a rock or stone and hold it in your hands. Take this time to talk to God about something you are struggling to let go of. At the end of your prayer lay the rock down as a symbol of giving this over to God. Do this as many times as you need. (You can use a book or other heavy objects if you dont have rocks)

Today’s challenge is all about fasting. The idea is to replace something that you do often in a day with prayer and time with Jesus. It could mean replacing something you reach for like snacks or coffee or replacing something that might distract you e.g. games, scrolling.

Whatever it is you choose, the point is to make more intentional time in your day to pray and talk to Jesus. This can be a great way to dedicate something in particular to God or to reset and refocus on what truly matters.

What would you fast? Could you make time to do this in the lead up to Christmas? ✨

Spend 5-10minutes in complete silence. Take some slow deep breaths and take the time to sit in stillness and be with God. Be ready to listen to God.

P.s. totally normal if you find this difficult, but in a world of noise it can be so powerful to slow down and cut out all the noise.

The truth is Christmas can become a season of stress, hustle and bustle, pressure. But it is also the season that brings the most opportunity for us as Christians to share the light of Jesus! To share the true reason behind this season, and to model the love God showed us to others.

May we all take the challenge to slow down enough in our own hustle and bustle to ask God how we can show his love to those around us. May we give with open arms, open hearts and prayers that have faith that God can use even the smallest of gifts in mighty ways!

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? If we are honest we really didn’t want to do this today. But we are so so glad we did! We so often underestimate the true rest that comes from spending time in the Lords presence. We were both feeling weary a bit burnt out and tired and the last thing we wanted to do was go for a walk in the heat. But that intentional act of hanging out with Jesus brought us an overwhelming, peace and feeing of revive better than any nap ever could.

So use this as your sign to put down the phone tonight and pick up your Bible and spend some intentional time with Jesus 🙌

To know someone we must spend time with them, listening and observing the way they act and respond. We can’t truly know someone without ever spending time listening and hearing what they have to say.

We read Gods word to know Him. Through the Bible we learn about who He is, His characteristics, and His heart. The more we read, the more we know, the more we know the more we understand.

To know someone we must spend time with them, listening and observing the way they act and respond. We can’t truly know someone without ever spending time listening and hearing what they have to say.

We read Gods word to know Him. Through the Bible we learn about who He is, His characteristics, and His heart. The more we read, the more we know, the more we know the more we understand.

Why do we find the Bible so hard to read? The short answer is the devil doesn’t want us to read it and we so often fall into his traps of “not having enough time” giving up because we don’t understand and not prioritising it in our lives.

The Bible is alive and active, and we need the power of the word of God to help us fight our everyday battles against sin, and desires of the flesh. The Bible holds wisdom and encouragement we need to live a life pleasing to God.

It’s ok if you find it hard, but let us together encouarge one another to get stuck into the word of God, it’s how we grow intimacy with our creator, our saviour.

Do you feel distant from God? Struggling to hear Him?

Distance is felt where space exists
Space divides, it isolates, separates

Space is what stops closeness
Intimacy, the ability to hear clearly

But space is not unconquerable
In fact all it takes is something simple
A step

One step taken into the space reduces the distance
It may seem small, insignificant
But each step brings you closer
Each step reduces the distance

Sometimes when we feel distant from God it can feel daunting to acknowledge the space we feel
The separation we see
Yet one step is all it takes

The truth is the devil wants you to see the space as a never ending desert impossible to cross
He wants each step to feel treacherous, scary
Because even He knows the power one step closer to God holds

We must push past the temptation to be complacent in our space
To not set up camp in our distance
But to take one step closer

Jesus Time was created to provide a place to take one step closer. These journals are designed to give you a path to kickstart your journey to growing closer to Jesus. Each day you open the journal and spend time talking with God and opening His word is closing the distance we feel. God is right there, what steps are you taking towards Him?
